Most such Windows freezes are caused due to Crapware installed on pre-installed OEM Windows machines. To increase VM (Virtual Memory), Hold the Windows Key and Press R. Check your event logs around the time the machine pauses or the time you manage to unpause it for errors/warnings/messages regarding this (or other issues). The random freezing should be fixed now. You can also go into Device Manager from the Control Panel and disable hardware from there too if you can't figure out how to do it in the BIOS.
