NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800 GTX Overheat Problem

Then I saw this post after the same thing happened with my TX2 a month after the warranty ended AAAARGH! Like on the Youtibe video, we used a pan (actually, the little pan that came with the oven) with a matching grill rack and covered in foil, with four foil balls This is what I found. I think i jumped the gun baking it because now the display is all screwed looking and the computer blue screens. have a peek here

I ended up re-soldering the volume knob and it did melt melt the media card ejector and wifi switch, but once stuck all back together it hasn't crashed in 30 hours. John Pcbdesign I used this process on a geforce 460 that went dead after about 1 year of use.  Before I did this, I did a little research on the solder.  http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f24/nvidia-geforce-go-7800-gtx-overheat-problem-182500.html

These IC's are soldered on the board by placing a layer of solder on the board, placing the ic's and then passing the entire thing through a Oven or a hot Simon This works ! but not everyone is on the same buying cycle. so of course they don't care.

Nakodari - thanks for writing this and everyone else for commenting. the game played just as i hoped it would. kheloo i have probleem{ [email protected]:~# sudo apt-get install nvidia-current nvidia-settings Reading package lists… Done Building dependency tree Reading state information… Done Some packages could not be installed. Now it's time to trash the card with coca-cola cans.

Removed the card and baked it at 195C, 8 minutes. The problem is that when it gets to 102 degrees, it should downclock to cool off. fast is how you built your rig to begin with and/or config. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/213009-29-geforce-7800gtx-overheating But same problems as above.

The places of electrical contacts get attached, while the rest of the solder melts and flows away. Ask ! The rest of my system is running quite cool, so I don't think it's poor case ventilation. Please help... :) You just described the EXCACT same problem as I have with my Dell XPS M170.

NVIDIA PLS. https://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/17023-geforce-go-7950-gtx-temperature-driver-problem/ The graphic card is the geforce 6150se embedded in the motherboard. are you content with the atari 2600 for your games? they don't shop around, and they don't envision what they'll be doing in 2 years.

Can't forward port Three Cheers for EDYOUKAYSHUN! http://nexwarecorp.com/nvidia-geforce/nvidia-geforce-8400m-gs-problem.html The first time turning it on, the green bars were missing and eventually I got to the desktop. This is not clear from your "How To" article. Now I can't understand why different drivers would report the temp differently.

sure i could have played it with a much slower system but i would not have been as competetive. dean7Dec 12, 2006, 10:56 AM Sounds like replacing your HSF might not be a bad idea. Pandu Aji Wirawan i am using Lenovo G480 with GeForce G610M 1Gb on Ubuntu 12.04. Check This Out The computer doesn't turn off, but I can't get control back.

One day it started malfunctioning and nothing would show up on my screen at all during boot and when using the computer. Julian After my success earlier in the year with my 8800gt using this guide i decided to use the exact same process for my broken compaq presario v3000, i striped it but i choose to play computer games for whatever reason just like and i choose how i play those games and i choose what system i have.

It had EXACTLY the same dotted blue strips down the screen as the image above in the article.

I tested it running games on high for extended periods with the fan kicking in and all is fine. Would it be possible that your fan is broken? I havnt had that problem in any games. if they meant for this card to be owned by n00b commoners like you they would have sold it for $60.

How can I undo these commands? Thanks to all of you here! Also I find it interesting that you would reply on such a ancient post, more amusing than your reply. this contact form The card looked just the same before and after the baking.
