By the way, I think this issue is due to one of the Office Updates because it didn't start for me until I ran the techConnect beta of SP1 for Office Now i installed office 2003 on it. Since then, everytime i start any Office programs (Words, Excell, Outlook, etc), the installer dialog box always appears. We may never know why the World leader OS and Office software company lets this happen.

I am in US. Each time visio 2003 will still register itself, and so will visio 2007 of course. I even tried installing out look separate rom office 2007 enterprise and the only thing different is now it tries to configure outlook and not office enterprise. When I install Office 2007 SP1, I not only get the annoying "Configuring Office 2007" small box but I also will get the larger (and longer) box.

PS the Solution for me was your Registfry command in your first section I have office 2007 installed and it worked fine!! Its goes without saying that you should back up your registry before doing this- which is what this guy advises. I was trying to setup for VSTO and realized that I'll need the 2003 & 2007 versions of office to try out a few of the features.
