We were missing a key value in our Exchange 2010 EdgeTransport.exe configuration file (full path: C:\Program Files\Microsoft\ Exchange Server\V14\Bin\) What we had to do was open the config file EdgeTransport.exe.config (on It's your wifes Outlook 2003.
