To prevent AIM from starting when you open Outlook Express, go to the Sign On/Off preferences category in AIM and disable the "Make AIM my default instant messaging program" option. For some reason, whenever I click on >the Outlook Express icon on my desktop to open it, it opens but AIM opens >up as well.
