All I needed to do is make IE my default browser. You may also... I simply paused it, waited a brief moment or so and then resumed them. Use the method(s) explained in the M$ article "How to reinstall or repair Internet Explorer in Windows Vista and Windows XP" for the particular version of Windows/browser.

Use folders to store emails you want to keep and keep the inbox from getting too big. (Filters can help!) Periodically delete the items in the sent folder. Checked my settings for receiving email and everything seems to be fine.Really frustrated can't figure this out!
