Take out disk 2, insert disk 1, and type ptedit. great post to read You would not need to go through several steps as it would all happen at once. I'm assuming you have no other partitions on this drive. As of this writing it is only showing 1.99g.

thank you. It go to the Win directory on the other partition. This will save you alot of time if you have to reinstall and will make sure that it is a version that works correctly. This will enable you to save your work, just in case or should I say when, you have to reload Windows.

Besides, the closer to the hardware you are, the less extraneous things there are to go wrong. Of course the really sneaky way to get around all of this is to use a Zip or Orb drive, or some other type of removable media. That was my experience, anyhow.So, you go and buy PartitionMagic.
