pls help me out if anybody else having same issues. We appreciate your understanding. Laptop came with some other software to control sound aside from the realtek drivers. I also had issues with the sound crackling/popping and it didn't matter whether I switched to headphones or speakers. Check This Out

good luck! i can't change the device plugin. Once the drivers have been wiped, restart your system, and install the new driver. this was driving me insane and I couldn't figure out what was causing it.

In the Realtek Menu (click on speaker icon in bottom right of Windows) Select the Default Format tab then make sure the same sample rate is listed in that drop-down menu.
